Member’s Path

THE MEMBER’S PATH AT RIVER’S EDGE FELLOWSHIP

The Member’s Path is designed to assist prospective members become a part of our church family. We work hard to provide the necessary information and environment to help you have a successful transition from visitor to member. 

Step One: Introduction (Pastor’s Luncheon) 

We review basics about our church: introduce basic doctrine with distinctives, review the Paths @ REF, and cover expectations. There will be a basic interview regarding salvation, baptism, and previous church membership, if applicable.

Step Two: Membership Class

Six one-hour classes make up our Membership Class. We cover membership basics, church structure, spiritual gifts, and ministry alignment. It is also a good time to get to know our pastor, who is the regular teacher of the class. 

Step Three: Elder Review 

After the completion of membership class, the Elder Board will review each person’s engagement in the class to make a recommendation for membership. 

Step Four: Full membership. 

The person is welcomed into the church as a member at our next worship service with a traditional “right hand of fellowship” by the membership.
