Get ready to glow! This summer, we are turning up the brightness at Illumination Station, a
high-energy Vacation Bible School (VBS) experience designed to help kids discover how to live
out God’s love in a dark world.
What is VBS?
If you’re new to the term, VBS stands for Vacation Bible School. It is a specialized, week-long program hosted during the summer months that brings children together for a unique blend of faith and fun.
Unlike a traditional classroom setting, VBS is an immersive experience. It’s a place where kids can explore biblical themes through hands-on activities, upbeat music, and creative play. It’s designed to be the highlight of the summer—a time for making new friends, burning off energy, and learning timeless values in a vibrant, welcoming environment.
About the “Illumination Station” Theme
At Illumination Station, we are going “all in” on the science of light! This year’s theme focuses on the truth that Jesus is the light of the world. Through the week, children will learn that even when things feel dark or uncertain, they have a steady light to follow—and they can reflect that light to everyone they meet.
What to Expect Each Day:
- Fueling Station: Every night we host a delicious dinner where kids and families can enjoy a delicious meal together, connect with friends and leaders, and get fueled up before the evening fun begins.
- The Beacon Basecamp: We kick off every evening with high-voltage music, hilarious skits, and an introduction to our Daily Power Point.
- Glow Games: High-energy outdoor and indoor games that keep everyone moving and working together as a team.
- The Light Lab: A dedicated time for interactive Bible storytelling where the scriptures come to life through drama and discussion.
